Founded in 2001, the Kateri Native Ministry (KNM) is an Indigenous-led spiritual, healing, and reconciliation charitable organization whose work extends throughout Canada. The KNM provides Indigenous-led programming and maintains partnerships with Indigenous, church, and educational organizations. The KNM fosters healing and reconciliation through land-based learning and the reclamation of Indigenous knowledge, culture, and identity. The KNM acknowledges the harms of the past and support pathways toward restored and renewed connection. The KNM is committed to building bridges of unity and peace between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Peoples.
The KNM's patron saint is St. Kateri Tekawitha, a 17th century Indigenous woman known as the “Lily of the Mohawks”. She is an inspiration for her humility, faith, and devotion.
Join us as we celebrate an Indigenous Mass at St. Basil's Parish on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 5:00pm (except for July and August). After Mass, there is a delicious fellowship potluck meal. All are welcome!
