Communication ProceduresIn the Event of a Crisis
Principles: In the event of a crisis situation communication with the Parish will be rapid, ongoing and extensive. It will be as open as possible while adhering to our Christian values. A senior person will be the chief communicator.
Procedures:- Any person who becomes aware of a crisis situation affecting the parish should immediately alert the Pastor, the Administrative Assistant or the Chair of Pastoral Council.
- Members of Pastoral Council will be alerted by telephone of the situation with follow up by email.
- A point person who will gather information and formulate a first response will be named. The nature of the situation will dictate who the point person is.
- Information will be verified and updated as it becomes available.
- All available methods of communication will be used: announcements at Mass, the Parish bulletin, notices in the Narthex, the website and the parish telephone line.
