St. Basil’s Participates in Pope Francis’s Family Synod − Pope Francis has asked for views from all parts of the Church on the
vocation and mission of the family in the Church and in the contemporary world. This is to help the Vatican prepare for the upcoming Synod on the Family in October. The Vatican created a
long questionnaire to this end, and the Diocese chose a set of ten questions for St. Basil’s to answer. Discussions took place after all Masses on February 21 and 22; a total of 33 parishioners
took part. Our report has gone in to the Diocese, to be amalgamated into a Diocese report and then a Canada report.
The St. Basil’s report is available by clicking here for the report. For reference the questions discussed are here and the Vatican’s report from the initial synod is here.
The church is wheel-chair accessible. There is local radio transmission of the services - tune your walkman to FM 92.1.
